ABOUT ME
Laura Ramos, B.Sc., & Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
Hello, I’m Laura (She/Her), a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) based in Ontario. First off, I want to acknowledge the strength it took for you to recognize that you need support, and the courage you have for seeking out a therapist. I know this process can be scary and intimidating, but I’m proud of you for taking the steps you need to prioritize your well-being. If you are feeling lost, confused, anxious, or overwhelmed, you can always reach out - I’ll be happy to help. You are not alone in this journey.

My passion for helping others began at a young age, when I witnessed the real-life effects of people close to me not getting the help they needed. This sparked my interest in the therapy field, and I decided to dedicate my life to helping people live the fulfilling lives they deserve. Through my work at Addiction Centre Toronto (ACT) and an outpatient mental health clinic at Toronto Western Hospital, I have supported individuals facing a variety of mental health issues, including addictions, anxiety, trauma, and treatment-resistant depression.

As a therapist, I specialize in anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, stress, and self-esteem issues. My goal is to help you process and work through whatever issues you are facing at a pace that feels comfortable for you. Together, we will set goals, gain insight, and develop strategies for growth and healing. Therapy is a partnership, and I will be by your side throughout your healing journey, every step of the way.

When I’m not at Eras Therapy and Wellness, I can be found going on walks/runs in nature, reading a book, or spending time with friends and family. Finding joy in different activities has helped me stay balanced and grounded, and has allowed me to truly appreciate living in the present moment.
MY APPROACH
Authentic, Connected, Compassionate
I believe in creating a safe space where you can be your authentic self without judgment. Ultimately, I want you to feel safe, seen, and heard no matter what. I know what it’s like to feel judged and it’s not a great feeling. That’s why I strive to create a therapeutic environment where even the most “unlovable” or “unwanted” parts of you are welcome and accepted with open arms. Laugh, cry, swear, do whatever you need to do to express yourself and how you feel. It is important to me that you feel comfortable being YOU, whatever that looks like.

I believe in a collaborative approach to therapy, where you and I work together to explore challenges and find strategies that align with your wants and needs. It is important to me that you feel empowered and in control, with a supportive partner by your side. If an approach or technique is working for you, great! If not, that’s completely okay - we can explore this together and find something that’s a better fit. Remember, therapy is a partnership, and I want you to feel safe and comfortable bringing yourself into the therapy space. Your voice and preferences will always be respected as we move through this process together.
