ABOUT ME

Carly Hart, B.A., SSW, & Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

Hi, I’m Carly (She/Her), a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) based in Ontario. I know that reaching out for therapy can feel like an intimidating first step. Sometimes it’s seen as a sign of “giving in” or a weakness. But in my experience, it takes remarkable strength and self-awareness to recognize when you need support and to take that step. If you’re feeling stuck, anxious, overwhelmed, or weighed down by past experiences, I want you to know that you’re not alone, and I’m here to help.

With over five years of experience working in various mental health settings, I’ve supported kids, teens and adults in navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, self-esteem challenges, and life transitions. My background as a Social Service Worker (SSW) has equipped me with specialized training in crisis intervention and trauma-informed care. I’ve worked closely with youth in crisis, adults managing addictions, and individuals experiencing homelessness or disabilities.

When I’m not in session, you can find me staying active with yoga, playing rugby, or enjoying a walk in nature. I believe that movement (whatever form feels right for you!) can be a powerful way to reduce stress, build resilience, and stay grounded.

MY APPROACH

Collaborative, Strength-Based, Empowering.

I believe that therapy works best when it’s collaborative and tailored to your unique needs. My goal is to create a warm, non-judgmental space where you feel heard, understood, and supported. Whether you’re feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, struggling with overwhelming thoughts, or searching for ways to boost self-confidence, we’ll work together to build effective tools and strategies that empower you to make meaningful changes.

I take a holistic, strength-based, and person-centered approach to therapy. Together, we will explore your thoughts, feelings, and unique life experiences, focusing on building your strengths and creating a meaningful path forward. Therapy isn’t about focusing on what’s “wrong”, it’s about helping you reconnect with yourself, gain new tools, and move toward the life you want to live.

As your therapist, I will meet you exactly where you are and support you in discovering the tools and insights you need to thrive. Therapy isn’t always easy (exploring uncomfortable emotions and experiences can be challenging!) but I’ll be right there beside you to guide you through the hard moments and celebrate the wins.
